I think the best approach for the garden this year is to focus on perennials that come back on their own. The soil in the back bed needs some compost before planting and I plan to add a few inches of organic matter next week. I noticed the lavender from last season is spreading nicely and the rosemary survived the winter in a sheltered spot. The tomatoes should go in after the last chance of frost passes which is usually around mid May in our area. I start seeds indoors about six weeks before that and harden them off gradually. The peppers take longer to germinate so I begin those even earlier. If you want to try the same method I can show you how I set up the grow lights on a timer. The key is keeping the soil temperature consistent and not overwatering the seedlings. I learned that lesson the hard way a few years ago when I lost half my starts to damping off. Now I use a fan to keep air moving and it makes a big difference. Let me know what you decide to plant this season.

I reserved the conference room for Thursday afternoon and confirmed the projector is working. The sound system was updated last month so audio should be clear for the presentation. I think we can get through the main topics in about ninety minutes if we stay on track. The agenda I put together has the most important items first so we cover them before any discussions run long. I will send out a reminder the day before with the room details and timing. If anyone needs to dial in remotely we can set up the video link. Let me know if you want me to adjust anything. I can also prepare a summary handout for everyone attending. I think the meeting space will work well for our group size and the chairs are comfortable enough for a longer session. The whiteboard is large and we have markers in several colors. I will arrive early to make sure everything is set up properly.
