Oh yeah, the Pine Creek trail is definitely worth the drive. I went last fall and the foliage was incredible. It's about a 4-mile loop, mostly shaded, with a nice creek running alongside for the first half. We packed a lunch and ate by the old bridge at the midpoint. There's a small parking area at the trailhead, but it fills up fast on weekends. If you go, try to get there before 8 AM. Also, wear boots if you have them - some of the roots and rocks can be tricky after rain. I think you'll love it. Let me know if you want company, I'd totally go again. We could grab coffee after at that new place downtown.

I finally picked up that sci-fi novel you recommended last month. Took me a while to get into the first few chapters because of all the world-building, but once the plot kicked in I couldn't put it down. The main character's arc is surprisingly emotional. I stayed up way too late on Tuesday finishing it. Do you have the next book in the series? I'd love to borrow it if you do. Also, the author is doing a virtual Q&A next week if you want the link. Let me know what you think about the ending - I have a few theories sMaMTw9InH I want to run by you.
