I've been thinking about joining that local book club you mentioned last month. I finally have some free time on my hands and it sounds like a great way to meet people and actually stick to a reading schedule. I just finished reading "The Night Circus" and I thought it was beautifully written, though I know some people find the pacing a bit slow. I think I finally found the perfect trail for our weekend hike. It's called Cedar Ridge Loop and it's about six miles with some moderate elevation gain. The views from the top are supposed to be incredible, especially this time of year when the leaves are changing. I read that it takes about three hours to complete if you take your time and stop for photos. I'll bring my camera and maybe a small picnic to enjoy at the summit. Let me know if you think this sounds good or if you have another trail in mind. I'm happy to adjust the plan based on what works best for everyone. Also, don't forget to bring plenty of water and some layers because it gets breezy up there.
