Hi Derek, about those garden beds - we finally got the lumber from the yard last Tuesday. The cedar planks are 6 inches wide and look really nice. I started assembling one frame but I'm still waiting on the galvanized screws from the hardware store. The soil delivery is scheduled for next Monday morning. If you want to help we can mix in some compost from my pile behind the garage. The layout I sketched has three 4x8 beds and two smaller 3x6 ones along the fence. Do you think we should add a path of bark mulch between them or just grass? Also I still have the drip irrigation parts from last year. We just need to replace a few emitters. Hi Marcus, I checked with the community center about the Wednesday pottery class. They said the instructor moved to Tuesday evenings starting next month. The fee didn't change and materials are still included. If you want I can reserve two spots online - the system lets you pick seats near the front. I also asked about the kiln firing schedule. They do bisque on Thursday mornings and glaze on Friday afternoons. That should work for our project timeline. The only thing is they ask you wear closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair. Let me know if Tuesday at 6 works for you. I'm planning to bring that speckled clay we used last time. Also we need to buy a small chamois for smoothing edges.
