I think your suggestion about placing the raised beds along the south side makes sense for maximizing sun exposure. We should factor in the shade from the oak tree during late afternoon hours. The compost bins would work well near the back fence where they are accessible but not in the way. I was thinking the herb spiral could go closer to the shed for easy access when cooking. For the pathways, gravel seems like a practical choice that drains well. We should also consider adding a small seating area near the pollinator patch so people can sit and enjoy the space. Let me know if you want to adjust the measurements for the beds before I finalize the plan. I think we have enough space for all the varieties you mentioned wanting to include this season. The soil delivery is scheduled for next Thursday so we should have everything ready by then.

I also checked on the tool shed rental and it is available for the full weekend we need it. That should give us plenty of time to get everything set up properly. Let me know your thoughts on the layout when you have a chance.

I checked the community center calendar and the second Saturday of next month is open for reservation. The room accommodates about forty people comfortably which should be enough for our group. We will need to bring our own refreshments since the center does not provide catering. I can coordinate a sign-up sheet for snacks and drinks. For the agenda I was thinking we could spend the first half hour on introductions and then move into discussing the neighborhood improvement projects. The traffic calming proposal and the new walking path are the two main topics people have expressed interest in. We should probably keep each presentation under fifteen minutes to leave time for questions. Let me know if you think we need to add anything else to the schedule before I send out the invitations. I also reserved the projector and screen just in case anyone wants to show visuals during their portion of the meeting.

One more thing - the center has a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and a sink so that should work well for setting out the refreshments. Let me know if you have any other ideas for the agenda.
