I finally got around to organizing the bookshelves in the living room yesterday. I found a signed copy of a novel I had completely forgotten about. It is amazing how much stuff we accumulate without realizing it. The whole process took way longer than I expected because I kept stopping to read the first few pages of everything I picked up. We tried fixing the old coffee table last weekend, which turned into a much bigger project than anticipated. The wood stain we picked out ended up looking RzmWcqF0UZ2r completely different on the actual table than it did on the little sample square. So now it is sitting in the garage patiently waiting for round two. It was one of those projects where you keep telling yourself it will look great once it is finished. Hopefully, we will get to it again before the end of the month. Otherwise, the table makes for a decent extra storage unit in the garage for now. Let me know if you have any tips on stripping old varnish or prepping wood for a new finish.
