I started painting my spare room this morning and it turned into a much bigger project than I planned. The old color was this awful mustard yellow that the previous owners thought was stylish. I am going with a soft sage green instead something calming. I had to make three trips to the hardware store because I kept forgetting supplies. First it was painter's tape then I realized I needed a better angled brush and finally I grabbed a drop cloth after spilling a little on the floor. My arms are sore from all the rolling but the first coat already looks so much better. I think I will finish the second coat tomorrow and then maybe treat myself to a new plant for the corner.
