The community garden layout plan needs adjustment because of the drainage issue near the southern bed. I measured a slight slope that will carry runoff toward the tomato rows unless we add a small berm. I think we can use the extra soil from the compost pile to build it. Would you like me to draft a revised diagram before our Thursday meeting? Also, the seed order for carrots and beans arrived yesterday, and we should store them in the cool shed. The hike up Blacktail Ridge is best done in early morning to avoid the afternoon heat. I mapped out a route that starts at the south trailhead and loops around the summit. The total distance is about six miles with moderate elevation gain. There are two stream crossings that might be tricky after rain, but we can use the fallen logs if needed. I packed extra water and some trail snacks. Would you like to meet at the parking lot at 6:30? I'll bring a field guide for the wildflowers.
