Yeah, I think we can definitely make the hike work next Saturday. The trailhead is about an hour from the cabin, so we should aim to leave by 7am. The forecast looks mild, maybe some clouds in the afternoon. We'll need to bring plenty of water and those trail snacks we bought last week. Let me know if you want to carpool from my place. I can fit four of us comfortably. Also, I was thinking we could build a fire pit at the cabin if the weather holds up. I'll grab some firewood on Friday. Let me know what you think about the timing.

I finally got around to reading that book you recommended. The pacing was a bit slow in the middle, but the last hundred pages really pulled everything together. The main character's development felt authentic, especially the way they handled the ethical dilemmas. I can see why you thought I would like it. Have you read any of the author's earlier works. I heard they have a new series starting next year set in the same universe but with different characters. I might check that out when it releases.
