I think the trail you mentioned would work well for Saturday morning. The elevation gain is moderate so it should take about three hours if we pace ourselves. I checked the weather forecast and it looks clear with temperatures in the mid seventies. We should bring plenty of water and some snacks for the summit. I can pick up the trail mix and granola bars if you want to handle the sandwiches. Let me know what time you want to meet at the trailhead. I prefer starting early to avoid the afternoon heat. Also I wanted to ask if you have space in your car or if I should drive separately. The parking lot can fill up quickly on weekends so arriving before eight would be ideal. I can bring my hiking poles if anyone needs them. The trail has some rocky sections near the top but nothing too technical. I think it will be a good workout without being exhausting. We should also check if any permits are required for the parking area.

I think the discussion questions you put together for next week look really solid. The chapter about the main character's decision to leave the city raises a lot of interesting points about motivation and change. I was thinking we could also talk about the symbolism of the garden that appears in several chapters. That felt significant to me as a representation of growth and patience. For the meeting format I think we should keep it similar to last time with about forty five minutes of discussion followed by fifteen minutes to pick the next book. I can bring some refreshments maybe a simple fruit plate and some tea. Let me know if anyone has dietary restrictions I should account for. Also I wanted to suggest we look at a few non fiction options for the next selection to mix things up. I have a couple of titles in mind that explore urban planning and community design which ties back to some themes in our current book. Let me know what you think about the format and the suggestions for next month.
