Regarding your question about hiking trail recommendations for this weekend I think the Ridgeline Loop at the nature preserve would be a solid choice. It's roughly four miles with steady elevation gain that opens to a nice view of the valley around the midpoint. The trail is well maintained and clearly marked so navigation is straightforward even if you haven't been there before. I'd plan to start by 7:30 to beat the warmer part of the day and bring a light jacket for the top where it tends to be breezy. Parking is available at the main lot near the visitor center and there's a small stream about halfway where dogs can cool off if you bring yours. The wildflowers along the upper section should be coming into season now which adds some color to the hike. Allow about two and a half hours total with a short break at the overlook.

If you want something shorter there is a connector trail that cuts across near the old oak grove that brings the distance down to about two and a half miles. That route skips the highest viewpoint but still passes through a pleasant wooded section with good bird activity in the morning. Either option should work well for a Saturday outing and the weather forecast looks favorable with partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the mid-70s.

I think the sage green option would complement your kitchen cabinets nicely given the warm undertones in the wood grain. We used a similar shade in our breakfast nook last year and it paired well with the cream trim and brushed nickel fixtures. The key is to test a sample swatch on the wall and observe it under both natural daylight and your evening recessed lighting because the hue shifts noticeably between those conditions. If you lean toward something slightly cooler there is a muted moss tone that might work too though it reads a bit more gray in shaded corners. I would also consider the finish since eggshell tends to hide imperfections better than satin on older walls. The ceiling should remain a bright white to keep the space feeling open and airy rather than closed in. You may want to tape off a few large sections rather than relying on small swatches to get a realistic sense of how the color reads across the full wall surface before committing to the entire room. Let me know if you want me to drop off the sample pots I picked up last weekend since I ended up going with a different direction for our space.
