So I finally took your advice and checked out that trail you mentioned last month. Honestly it was one of the best hikes I have done in a while. The weather was perfect and the views from the top were incredible. We brought a picnic and just sat there for an hour taking it all in. I saw a few deer on the way down too which was a nice surprise. If you are free next weekend I would love to go again maybe try a different route this time. Let me know what you think. I have been meaning to get out more and this was exactly what I needed. The whole loop took about four hours with plenty of stops for photos. I will send you some of the pictures when I get them sorted. The trail had these really interesting rock formations near the midpoint and a small stream we crossed on a wooden bridge. It was so peaceful out there away from everything. I am already looking forward to the next one.

I tried that pasta recipe you sent me and it turned out surprisingly well even though I messed up the sauce a bit. I added too much garlic but honestly there is no such thing as too much garlic right. The trick with salting the pasta water really does make a difference I never used to do that but now I get why it matters. I served it with a simple side salad and some crusty bread. Next time I want to try adding mushrooms or maybe some spinach. Thanks for the recommendation. I have been cooking more at home lately and it has been really enjoyable to try new things. Let me know if you have any other recipes you think I should try. The whole thing came together in about thirty minutes which was perfect for a weeknight. I used fresh basil from the little plant on my windowsill and it made the dish taste even better than I expected. I am thinking of trying a lemon version next week to mix things up a bit.
