Hey, I wanted to circle back on what you mentioned about hiking trails nearby. I finally checked out that one on the west side of the lake. The elevation gain was pretty steady, nothing too crazy, but the view at the top was totally worth it. We brought a picnic and just hung out for a couple of hours watching the birds. I definitely recommend starting early though, because the parking lot fills up fast. Let me know if you want to go together next time. So I finally decided to pick up the guitar again after like ten years. It is coming back slower than I expected, but I am having fun with it. I found this really good online tutorial that breaks down chord transitions really smoothly. My fingertips are definitely feeling it though. I forgot how much pressure it takes to get a clean sound out of the strings. Right now I am just working on a couple of folk songs, nothing too fancy. Do you have any suggestions for easy songs that sound impressive? I think once I get the basic strumming patterns down, I will try to write something original. It is a nice way to unwind after work.
