I think the trail near Mill Creek would work well for Saturday morning. The loop is about four miles with gentle elevation so it should be manageable for everyone. I checked the weather and it looks like partly cloudy with a high near seventy two which is comfortable for walking. We could start around nine and finish by noon then grab lunch at that diner on main street. Let me know if anyone needs directions to the trailhead because parking is around the back of the lot. I can bring snacks and extra water if needed. The path has some shaded sections near the creek which is nice during warmer parts of the day. There are a few benches along the way if folks need to rest. It should be a pleasant outing. I will send a reminder the night before so we can confirm who is coming. Let me know if the time works for your schedule.

The raised beds should be ready for planting by next week if the soil temperature stays steady. I prepared the mix with compost and peat moss to give the seedlings a good start. Tomatoes and peppers will go in the sunniest bed while the leafy greens can handle partial shade from the fence. I ordered seeds for zucchini and cucumber as well. I think starting with transplants rather than seeds gives better results in this climate. The drip irrigation system is set up on a timer so watering will be consistent. I need to put down mulch to help retain moisture through the hotter months. There is enough space for a few herb plants along the edge which is convenient for cooking. I can share some starts if you want to try growing your own as well. Let me know if you want to come by and see the setup before planting begins.
