Hi there, I wanted to follow up on your question about the community garden layout we discussed last week. I think the raised bed approach near the south fence makes the most sense given the afternoon sun patterns. We measured the soil pH yesterday and it came in at 6.8 which is good for most vegetables. The compost delivery is scheduled for Thursday morning and I will be there to receive it. I have also ordered the cedar boards for the frames and they should arrive by Wednesday. Please let me know if you want to adjust the spacing between the rows as I know you mentioned wanting room for a wheelbarrow to pass through. I can shift things around if needed before we start assembly.

I tried the lentil soup recipe you sent and it turned out really well. I substituted the smoked paprika with regular paprika and added a bit of cumin instead and the flavor was still good. I also left out the celery because I did not have any on hand and used extra carrots. The cooking time was about 35 minutes on a low simmer and the lentils held their shape nicely. I served it with a side of crusty bread and a squeeze of lemon which really brightened it up. Let me know if you have tried any variations because I am curious about adding sweet potato next time.
