I think the best time to visit is actually mid-week when it's less crowded.
The trails are well maintained and the views from the top are incredible.
We went last Saturday and it was packed. If you can manage a weekday trip, you'll have a much better experience.

Yeah I finally got around to organizing the garage over the weekend.
Found some old photo albums from college that I'd completely forgotten about.
