Hey, I just checked the weather for our trail day on Saturday and it looks mostly clear with a light breeze in the afternoon. I think we should start around 7 am to get the first loop done before the sun gets too hot. I picked up some extra insect repellent and a couple of hydration packs just in case anyone forgets theirs. Do you think we need to bring the large cooler or will a couple of soft packs be enough for snacks? I can grab some granola bars and fruit if you want. Also, I confirmed with the park office and they said we can park near the maintenance shed, so we don't have to haul gear too far. Let me know if you want me to send out a group message about what to wear and bring. I think it will be a solid day of work and a good way to get some fresh air and exercise.

AAA Premier Roadside Support Program

Hey, I wanted to follow up on the community garden layout. I measured the main plot yesterday and it gives us about 900 square feet of usable space after we account for the walking paths. I think we should do four raised beds on the east side and leave the west side for vine plants that can climb the fence. I talked to the hardware store and they can deliver lumber and soil mix next Tuesday morning if we confirm by Friday. They also have a discount for non-profit projects, so I will ask about that when I call. I also heard from the neighborhood association and they said we can tap into the water spigot near the shed, which is great. Let me know if you want to meet there this weekend to finalize the layout before we place the order. I think we can get a lot done before the first frost if we start right away.
