Oh yeah we finally watched that documentary series everyone has been talking about. I thought the pacing was a bit off in the middle episodes but the ending really brought it together. My friend recommended it when we were chatting last week and I was skeptical at first but now I'm glad I gave it a chance. The cinematography was stunning especially the drone shots over the mountains. I also love how they wove in the personal stories without making it feel forced. My partner fell asleep during episode three but I stayed up and finished the whole thing that night. We were supposed to discuss it this morning but they haven't seen the last two parts yet so I a8u01RAGXIT20p have to keep quiet about the twist. Honestly I think it's one of those shows that gets better on a second watch because you catch all the foreshadowing. If you're into nature and human resilience you'll probably enjoy it. I'm thinking of starting the companion podcast while I wait for the next season. Have you seen it yet? Let me know what you think when you get a chance because I'd love to geek out over it together.

I tried that new bistro downtown on Friday and honestly the beet salad was incredible. The ambiance is cozy without being stuffy and the service was attentive but not hovering. My friend ordered the pasta special and said it was the best she'd had in months. We shared a dessert that had lavender and honey in it which I usually avoid but this one was subtle and really worked. Parking was tricky because it's on a busy street but there's a lot around the corner. The cocktails are a bit pricey but they use fresh ingredients and you can taste the difference. I think it's going to become our regular spot for catching up. The menu changes seasonally so there's always something new to try. I already made a reservation for next month because they book up fast on weekends. If you want to join us let me know and I'll add you to the party. They also have a nice outdoor patio that might be open by then depending on the weather.
