Yes I spoke with the planning committee yesterday about the community garden layout. They want to keep the raised beds along the south fence so they get full sun. I reminded them that the irrigation lines need to be buried before we pour the walkways. One member suggested adding a small seating area with a bench and a few potted herbs. That sounds nice but we’ll need to adjust the budget for more soil and lumber. We also agreed to stagger the planting schedule so we have continuous blooms from April through September. I’ll send you the revised map next week after I mark the water spigot locations. Let me know if you want me to reserve the corner plot for tomatoes.
Also, the soil test results came back with a pH of 6.8 which is good for most vegetables. We might add a little lime if we go heavy on brassicas. I ordered the seed packets from the local cooperative - they have a nice mix of heirloom varieties. I can drop them off on Tuesday if you’re free in the afternoon.

I looked into the afternoon workshop you mentioned. The room is booked until 3:30 but we can have setup time at 3. The projector cables should be in the AV cabinet but I’ll bring a backup adapter just in case. We have about 25 seats but if more show up we can pull chairs from the break room. I will print the handouts on recycled paper as requested. The speaker arrives at 2:45 so we need someone to meet her at the lobby entrance. I think Mark can do that since he’s already here that day. Let me know if you want me to order coffee from the vendor downstairs or if people prefer tea. Also the fire marshal stopped by and reminded us that extension cords across aisles are not allowed so we’ll have to reroute the power strip setup. I can tape down any cables that cross the floor with those rubber mats we used last time. Everything else should be straightforward.
