I finally made it out to the trailhead last weekend. The weather held up nicely, and we managed to cover about eight miles before noon. Saw a few deer near the creek crossing, which was a nice surprise. Need to remember to pack more trail mix next time though. Got completely hangry on the way back.

Just finished that book you mentioned last month. Took me a while to get into the rhythm of it, but the second half really pulled me in. The main character's perspective shift in chapter twelve was unexpected. I might have to reread the first few chapters again now that I understand the context better.
