Hey I finally got around to trying that pasta recipe you mentioned last month. It turned out really well actually. The sauce was richer than I expected but in a good way. I added a bit more garlic than the recipe called for because you know how I feel about garlic. lTlXLqt18A The whole thing came together in about 30 minutes which was perfect for a busy weeknight. We had leftovers the next day and it was even better after sitting overnight. Let me know if you want me to send you the tweaked version with my modifications. Also I picked up that novel you recommended last week at the library sale. Haven't started it yet but looking forward to diving into this weekend. The weather has been perfect for reading on the porch and I found a quiet spot in the backyard where the sun hits just right in the afternoon.

I finally took your advice and started that small garden project in the back corner of the yard. Cleared out all the overgrown brush and turned the soil last weekend. Going to plant some herbs and maybe a few tomato plants. The soil actually seemed decent once I got through the top layer. Found some interesting rocks and even a old rusty key while digging. Made me wonder about the history of the house and who lived here before us. Anyway I picked up some seeds and starters from the local greenhouse yesterday. Fingers crossed things actually grow this time. My track record with plants is mixed at best but you have to start somewhere right. I'll send you photos once things start coming up and looking presentable. The mint is already showing new growth which feels like a win.
