XO 6.6: scoped admin roles, safe XOA updates, lighter V2V

Scoped admin roles, safe XOA updates, lighter V2V

Hello everyone, ☀️

June wraps up and XO 6.6 is all about more control and safer upgrades. The headline is delegation: the REST API now has scoped Storage and Network administrator roles, so you can grant exactly the permissions a team needs. Updating XOA is less stressful too, with an automatic safety snapshot taken before each update for one-click rollback, while a batch of V2V optimizations cuts memory use by up to 700 MB per terabyte on large VMware migrations.

XO 6 keeps catching up with a new Administration tab, storage repository management and traffic rule deletion, and there's fresh REST API, Terraform and Kubernetes tooling on top.

One more thing worth a look: over on the XCP-ng forum we've opened TwinStor to testing, our next-gen 2-node hyperconverged storage. We'd love more hands torture-testing it. Enjoy, and have a great summer!
