I was just thinking about what you mentioned the other day regarding the garden project. I finally got around to checking the soil conditions in the backyard and it turns out we have really good drainage there. The tomatoes should do well if we plant them along the south-facing fence where they'll get plenty of afternoon light. I also looked into getting some basil and rosemary started from seed instead of buying starts from the nursery. It's actually pretty straightforward if you keep the soil moist and warm. Let me know if you want to come over this weekend to help map out the layout. I was thinking we could also KLkG5xejP2VL build a small raised bed for the herbs near the kitchen door. Anyway I will send you some photos of the space later so you can see what I am working with. Hope you are having a good week so far.
I found a really good way to organize the seed packets using a small photo album with plastic sleeves. It keeps everything visible and protected from moisture. I can show you how it works when you come over.

I finally finished reading that novel you lent me last month. The pacing was a bit slow in the middle but the last hundred pages really pulled everything together in a satisfying way. I loved how the author developed the main character throughout the story. It reminded me of another book I read recently about a family traveling through the countryside. The descriptions of the landscapes were so vivid that I felt like I was right there with them. Let me know if you have any other recommendations along those lines. I am always looking for something new to dive into. By the way how did your hiking trip go last weekend I hope the weather held up for you. We should plan a day trip soon to that nature preserve everyone keeps talking about.
I also started listening to a really interesting podcast about coastal ecology. The episodes about tide pools and intertidal zones were fascinating. I learned that the animals living there have adapted to extreme changes in temperature and salinity every single day.
