I finally got around to hiking that trail you mentioned last month. The weather was perfect - not too hot, just a light breeze. I started early around 7am and had the trail mostly to myself until about 10. The views at the summit were worth the climb. I packed a sandwich and just sat there for an hour taking it all in. The wildflowers are starting to bloom, especially along the ridge. I saw a few deer VTsrY96OGz7e on the way down. It took me about four hours round trip with plenty of breaks. I think you'd really enjoy it if you're looking for a weekend activity that's not too strenuous. Let me know if you want the trail details. I also stopped by that little cafe near the trailhead for coffee afterward.

I tried that pasta recipe you sent over and it turned out really well. I was a bit nervous about the sauce since I've never made anything like it before, but it came together nicely. I added a bit more garlic than the recipe called for - you know me. The fresh basil really made a difference. I served it with a simple side salad and some crusty bread. My roommate couldn't stop talking about it. I think next time I'll try adding some mushrooms or maybe roasted cherry tomatoes. The whole thing took about forty-five minutes from start to finish. Let me know if you have any other recipes you'd recommend. I'm on a bit of a cooking kick lately and trying to expand what I can make.
