Yeah the trail off Highway 9 would be better this time of year because the weather has been warming up and the elevation gain is more gradual than the Ridge Trail. We should plan to start early around 6am to beat the afternoon heat and bring plenty of water since there are not many streams along that route. I think we should aim for the overlook around midday and then have lunch there before heading back down. The views should be clear if the morning fog burns off by then. I checked the forecast and it looks like it should be mostly sunny with a slight chance of afternoon clouds. Let me know if you want to adjust the timing or bring anything specific for the group. I can pick up snacks and extra water if needed. The parking lot at the trailhead is usually not too crowded on weekdays which is another reason I suggested that route.

I think the best approach for the living room would be to move the bookshelf to the wall near the window because the natural light would make it easier to see the titles and it would balance out the room visually. We could put the reading chair in the corner where the bookshelf currently is to create a more cohesive seating area. The rug should stay where it is since it anchors the space well. For the plants the ones that need more light should go on the windowsill and the low-light ones can go on the bookshelf. I think this layout would make the room feel more open and functional for when we have people over. The side table could go next to the chair with a small lamp for reading at night. Let me know if you want to try a different arrangement before we settle on this one.
