I looked into the community garden plot dimensions you asked about. The standard raised bed width is 4 feet so you can reach the middle from either side. Length can vary but 8 feet is pretty common for home gardeners. For the layout you described I think the key is to run the beds north-south so taller plants don't shade the shorter ones. The soil mix we discussed last week should work well just make sure you have enough organic matter blended in. The tomatoes and peppers will appreciate the extra compost. I finally got around to reorganizing that small bookshelf in the hallway like we talked about. The key was removing the adjustable shelves and painting the back panel a soft sage green which made a huge difference. I grouped the books by color for a more intentional look and added a few small ceramic pieces on the ends. The shelf height works perfectly for the cookbooks on the bottom and the novels up top. I also found a small reading lamp at the secondhand shop that fits nicely on the top corner. It has a warm bulb so it doesn't glare. Let me know if you want to come see it this week.
