Hey, I finally got around to watching that documentary you recommended. Honestly, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I started it on a Tuesday night thinking I'd watch just the first twenty minutes, but I ended up staying awake until almost midnight to finish the whole thing. The cinematography was really beautiful, and I loved how they wove together all those different storylines. m1OgxGwCpzo6 I've been thinking about it for days now and telling everyone I know they should watch it too. Let me know what you've been watching lately, I need more recommendations like that one. I also started reading a book about the history of jazz that a colleague lent me, and it's opening up a whole new world of music I never really appreciated before. The way the author describes the improvisation techniques makes me want to listen to all the old recordings.
Anyway, I hope you're doing well. Let's catch up properly soon.

I tried making sourdough bread from scratch this weekend and it turned out way better than I expected. The starter took about a week to get active enough, and I was worried I had killed it at least twice. But the first loaf came out of the oven with this perfect crust and chewy interior that reminded me of the bakery near my old apartment. I brought some to my neighbor and she asked for the recipe, which made my day. The whole process is really therapeutic, all that kneading and waiting and watching it rise. I think I'm going to make it a regular weekend thing. If you want, I can save you a loaf next time I bake. I also experimented with adding some rosemary and garlic to the second batch, and the smell while it was baking was absolutely incredible. My whole place smelled like a fancy pizza restaurant.
Let me know if you want me to bring some over when we hang out next.
