I've been working on reorganizing the storage room at the community center. We have so many boxes of old flyers and supplies that need sorting. I think we can free up a lot of space if we just donate the items we haven't used in two years. Let me know if you have any ideas. Also, are you free next Wednesday evening? The board is meeting to discuss the fall festival. I'd love your input on the music lineup. I heard the local folk band is available. They have a great sound. We could also ask the school choir to perform. That always draws a crowd. Let's touch base later this week. I'll send an email with the agenda. Thanks for your help!

On a different note, I tried a new recipe for butternut squash soup yesterday. It turned out well. I added a hint of ginger and nutmeg. If you want the recipe, I can share it. We should have a potluck soon. It's been a while.

Omaha Steaks | Indulge in the finest cuts

I finally finished that book you recommended about the history of cartography. Really fascinating how early maps were more artistic than accurate. The chapter about portolan charts was my favorite. I also started reading a novel set in 18th-century Venice. The descriptive prose makes you feel like you're there. Have you read anything good lately? I'm always looking for recommendations. Oh, and I managed to fix the old coffee grinder this weekend. Just needed a new gasket. It works perfectly now. Let's catch up over coffee sometime next week.

Also, I wanted to ask about your garden. I heard you planted some native wildflowers. How are they doing? I'm thinking of converting my front lawn to a pollinator-friendly patch. Any tips? I'm a bit worried about the deer. They often wander through the neighborhood. But I've read that some plants are less appealing to them. I'm still researching. If you have any suggestions on deer-resistant varieties, I'd appreciate it. Hope you're having a good week.
