I was just thinking about that hike we did last weekend. The weather was perfect and the trail wasn't too crowded. I brought along some snacks and we found that nice spot by the creek where we sat for a while. The water was crystal clear and you could see all the pebbles at the bottom. We should definitely do that again soon before it gets too cold. aO8bHpu4Kao brought his camera too and got some great shots of the foliage. I think next time we should start earlier so we can make it to the ridge before lunch. The view from up there is incredible on a clear day. Let me know if you want to plan another trip. I also heard there's a new trail opening next month that connects to the old fire road, which would make for a longer loop. Could be fun to try something different. Let me know what you think about all this when you get a moment. I have been meaning to ask about the gear you mentioned as well.

I finally got around to reading that book you recommended. Took me a while to get into it but by the third chapter I was completely hooked. The way the author builds tension through the setting is really effective and I found myself staying up way too late to finish just one more chapter. The main character's journey feels so authentic and I loved how the secondary stories intertwined. I can see why you thought I would enjoy it. Have you read any of their other works I should check out? I also watched that documentary you mentioned and thought it was fascinating especially the part about the restoration process. Would love to hear your thoughts on both when you have a minute. Let me know if you have any other recommendations I should add to my list.
