I finally made it out to the state park last weekend JgkYHfg9DzJKTT and the trail conditions were perfect. The weather was cool in the morning but warmed up nicely by midday. We took the loop trail that goes around the lake and stopped at the overlook for lunch. The foliage is starting to change color so the views were really beautiful. We spotted a few deer grazing near the meadow and some hawks circling overhead. The whole hike took about four hours with breaks and we covered around seven miles total. I am already planning to go back next month when the colors should be at their peak. You should come along if you are free. It would be great to catch up and enjoy the outdoors together.
