Yeah I think the best approach is to start with a solid outline before you begin writing anything. I usually map out three or four main points I want to cover and then build from there. The structure matters a lot because it keeps the reader engaged and helps them follow your reasoning. For the project we discussed last week I found that breaking it into smaller sections made the whole thing feel much more manageable. I also like to leave some room for adjustments as new ideas come up during the process. The key is to not get stuck on perfection early on. Just get the ideas down first and refine later. I tried that method on the last assignment and it saved me a lot of time. Let me know if you want to compare notes on this before the next meeting.

So I finally decided on the layout for the bookshelf in the living room. I measured the alcove again and it is about 42 inches wide and 72 inches tall. I am thinking of doing four adjustable shelves so I can fit both tall books and smaller decorative items. I found a nice oak veneer that should complement the floor. The plan is to build the frame first then add the shelves and finally the trim. I still need to decide on the finish. maybe a matte polyurethane so it does not look too shiny. I also want to add some subtle LED strip lighting under the top shelf but I am not sure about the wiring yet. I will probably route the cable behind the frame so it looks clean. Let me know if you have any suggestions on the spacing. I am thinking 14 inches between shelves for the middle two and a bit more space at the bottom for larger items.
