Hey, that's a great question about the hike we talked about. I went up to Mount Zion last weekend and honestly it was tougher than I expected. The trail markers were a bit confusing near the top, but the view from the summit made it all worth it. I brought along some trail mix and plenty of water, which helped. I'd definitely recommend starting early to avoid the afternoon heat. Also, I saw some wildflowers I couldn't identify-maybe you know what they are? Anyway, if you decide to go, let me know and I can share the GPS track I recorded. It's a solid day trip. Let me know if you want to borrow my hiking poles too. They really saved my knees on the descent. Hope you get a chance to go soon, it's a beautiful route. Keep me posted!

I finally finished re-reading that book you recommended - The Overstory. The first half felt a bit slow, but the way all the storylines weave together in the end is really powerful. I found myself thinking about it for days after. Have you read anything else by that author? I'm looking for a new novel that's got a strong sense of place. Maybe something set in the Pacific Northwest? I heard there's a good one about a lighthouse keeper. Also, I started learning calligraphy on weekends - just for fun. It's surprisingly relaxing once you get past the shaky lines. Anyway, let me know what you're reading these days. Would love to swap recommendations over coffee sometime. Hope you're doing well.
