Hey, I finally got around to trying that sourdough recipe you sent me last month. It took three tries before the starter actually behaved - the first one just went flat and sad, and the second smelled like nail polish remover which apparently means it was too warm. Third time was the charm though and I ended up with a really nice crusty loaf with decent bubbles inside. I used a mix of bread flour and whole wheat because I ran out of white flour halfway through. My kitchen looked like a flour bomb went off but the smell while it baked was incredible. I wrapped half in a tea towel and it stayed soft for two days. I think next time I'll try adding some rosemary and sea salt on top before baking. My neighbor saw it cooling on the counter and asked for the recipe too so now I look like an expert which is hilarious given my first two failures. Anyway if you want a half loaf let me know before I eat it all with butter.

I finally replaced the old faucet in the guest bathroom this weekend and honestly it was way easier than I expected. The old one was corroded underneath and I kept putting it off because I thought I'd need a plumber. I watched a couple of videos and picked up a new faucet from the hardware store for about sixty bucks. The hardest part was getting the old supply lines off because they were stuck pretty tight but a little penetrating oil and a good wrench did the trick. I also swapped out the drain assembly while I was at it since everything was already apart. The new one has a brushed nickel finish that matches the cabinet pulls and it looks so much cleaner now. No more drips and the water pressure actually seems better. I saved myself a couple hundred dollars by doing it myself and now I'm eyeing the kitchen faucet which is probably next on the list. Let me know if you ever need a hand with yours - I'm feeling pretty confident after this win.
