I think the best approach for the community garden would be to start with raised beds since the soil quality varies so much across the plot. We could build six beds initially and expand based on how many volunteers we get. The tomatoes and peppers should go in the sunniest corner, and we will want to put the herbs closer to the shed for easy access to water. I have already checked with the parks department and they said we can use the hose connection near the pavilion. That should simplify our watering schedule considerably during the warmer months.
