The Bench Kit

The Tools That Never Leave the Bench.

The Third Hand. Every serious bench has one — something to hold the work still while your hands are doing the actual work. The GIGA DIY Hobby Hand is ours. Designed and fabricated in-house, it extends to 24 inches, runs five articulated arms, and locks down with a spring-loaded jaw precise enough to hold components you can barely see. Bolts to the bench, mounts to a mobile base, or just sits there with its own considerable weight doing the holding. The kind of tool you stop borrowing from other people once you own it.

The Precision Blade. The Ti Grip Precision Hobby Knife exists because our development team kept wearing out aluminum bodies. So we machined our own from titanium — golf ball grip pattern, titanium blade chuck with four locking slots, screw-on titanium cap that actually protects the blade in a pocket. Comes with 16 spare blades. Over 106 reviews in and it's the one people keep reaching for instead of the one they meant to reach for.

The Arsenal Dock. The Embassy Pen Rotating Dock started as a bench organizer and became something people argue about on color choice. 6061 aircraft aluminum, TYPE III anodized, Japanese bearing at the core — it spins clean and holds ten embassy pens or driver bits in 10 precision-cut half-inch slots. Six colors. Limited run. Once a color is gone it's gone.

The Daily Writer. The Origin Aluminum Embassy Pen is where the line started in 2008. This numbered Heritage run — serials 001 through 1000, assigned at random — is faithful to the original with updated knurling, new colorways, and a Grade 5 titanium clip. Hand-finished in our private machine lab. If you've been collecting Embassy pens, this is the one that started everything. If you haven't started yet, this is the right place.

The Driver. The XXL Dual Sided Pen Driver carries 10 bits in a titanium body the size of a pen. Both ends load — four dual-sided bits in the handle, one ready in the high-torque nose. The golf ball grip gives full torque control even with gloves on, and the new black titanium nitride bits handle wear without complaint. It's been on the bench and in the field long enough that we stopped noticing it was there.

The Tweezers. Electro-anodized Grade 4 titanium, 0.2mm ultra-fine tip, internal guide that keeps alignment under pressure. The Ti Watchmakers Tweezers are what you reach for when you need to place something exactly once and not fumble it. Non-magnetic, sterilizable, comes with a tip protector. The gap between a good pair of tweezers and a bad pair is the gap between a job done and a job lost.
