Yeah I finally tried that trail you mentioned last weekend and honestly it was even better than I expected the weather held up perfectly and the views at the top were incredible we stopped for lunch by the creek and just soaked it in for about an hour I brought my camera along and got some really nice shots of the wildflowers that are blooming right now if you want I can send you a few of the better ones KHVkTvm4KkQ the whole loop took us about four and a half hours with breaks which felt just right not too rushed but still a solid workout I can see why you go there often I'm already thinking about going back maybe next month when the fall colors start to show up let me know if you'd be free to join then I also picked up a new guidebook at the visitor center with detailed maps of several connecting routes so we can extend it next time the book includes estimated times and difficulty ratings which is really helpful for planning

I finally got around to trying that pasta recipe you sent me and it turned out way better than I expected the sauce came together really smoothly and I added a bit more garlic than called for because you know me I can't help myself I also substituted the regular basil for the Thai basil I have in the garden and it gave it a nice unexpected twist my family loved it even my picky eater went back for seconds which basically never happens I doubled the batch so we had leftovers for lunch the next day and somehow it tasted even better after sitting overnight I'm going to make it again for the potluck next weekend I think it'll travel well do you have any other recipes like that I should try next I'm on a bit of a cooking kick lately
