Hey I finally got around to fixing that old bookshelf I picked up at the flea market last month. The wood was a bit warped so I had to plane it down. It took a couple of passes to get it straight but the old Stanley plane worked beautifully after I sharpened the blade. It took longer than I expected but clamping it overnight made a huge difference. 0XKXRP5otE I used some linseed oil on the finish and it brought out the grain nicely. Now I just need to find the right spot for it in the living room. The whole project was a nice break from staring at screens all day. Let me know if you want me to take a look at that dining chair we talked about. I think a little glue and some dowels would do the trick. Anyway talk soon and happy building.

I saw your question about the best way to ripen avocados quickly. The paper bag with a banana trick works every time. I also tried keeping them in a warm spot near the window and that seemed to help. Make sure to check them daily so they do not turn into mush. I made a really good guacamole last week with some lime and cilantro. It was a huge hit at the gathering. By the way I finally started that gardening project I was telling you about. I planted some tomatoes and peppers along with some basil and mint. They are doing well so far. Fingers crossed the weather stays warm enough. Let me know how the avocado experiment goes. I am curious if the paper bag method works as fast for you. I might try the warm water method next time just to compare the results. Hope everything is going great on your end.
