oh i totally forgot to tell you, we tried that new italian place downtown last night. it was pretty good actually. we had the calamari to start and it was perfectly crispy. for mains i got the mushroom risotto and it was really creamy. wEfMesvp8BxGxG they had a special truffle oil on it that made it super rich. the service was a bit slow though, took forever to get our drinks. overall id give it a solid 8 out of 10. we should go there together sometime. i know you love a good gnocchi and they had a couple of different gnocchi options on the menu. anyway, just wanted to share my little review. let me know if you want to check it out this weekend or sometime next week!

so i finally finished setting up the new home server. it took way longer than i expected honestly. i kept running into driver issues with the network card. after flashing the bios and reinstalling the os it finally started working. the transfer speeds are incredible though, way faster than my old setup. i migrated all my media libraries and it's all accessible from any device in the house now. feeling pretty accomplished even if it was frustrating at times. next project is probably gonna be automating the lighting in the living room. thinking of using those smart switches instead of just bulbs so everything looks clean and integrated. also want to set up a proper backup schedule so i dont lose anything if a drive fails unexpectedly. we should catch up soon and i can show you how it all works.
