I totally understand what you mean about the weather here. It's been so unpredictable lately. Last week I planned a whole weekend around a BBQ and it rained both days. I ended up just cooking the burgers inside and watching a movie instead. Honestly it turned out to be a pretty nice relaxing weekend even if it wasn't what I expected. We just set up a board game and made the best of it. I think we need to accept that spring is just going to be like that from now on. Let's try to plan something for the summer when it's more reliable. Maybe we can find a spot with a covered patio just in case. I'd rather be prepared than disappointed again. Hope your week is going well and that you're getting a break from this rain. Let me know if you want to catch up soon.

You know I never thought I would enjoy gardening as much as I do now. It started with just a couple of herbs on the windowsill and now I have tomatoes cucumbers and even a small patch of zucchini. It takes a lot of time but seeing something grow from a tiny seed is really rewarding. I had to learn about soil types and watering schedules pretty fast. There was a week when I overwatered everything and thought I lost it all but they bounced back. It is a lot more forgiving than I expected. I was also surprised by how many pests show up even in a small garden. I bought some natural spray and that seems to help. My neighbor gave me a tip about planting marigolds near the vegetables to keep bugs away. I might try that next year. It has been a fun project and I finally understand why people get so into it.
