Yeah I think Saturday evening would work well for the get-together. We could start around 6 and keep it casual. I was thinking we could do a simple menu nothing too elaborate maybe some appetizers and a main course with sides. Let me know if anyone has dietary restrictions I should account for. I have plenty of seating for everyone and the patio is finally in good shape for this time of year so we can spread out if people want. I will send out a reminder a couple days before just to confirm who can make it. Let me know what you think about the timing and if Saturday works for your schedule. I am also happy to adjust if another day works better for most people. We can decide on the specific dishes once we know the final headcount.

We finally finished painting the living room last weekend and it turned out better than I expected. The color we picked is a warm gray with slight blue undertones which works really well with the natural light we get in the afternoon. We still need to decide on new curtain rods and I have been looking at a few options online. The old ones were too short for the windows so we want something that extends a bit past the frame. I think once we get the curtains up the room will feel complete. Let me know if you want to come by and see how it looks now. We are also thinking about rearranging the furniture to open up the space a bit more and maybe adding a couple of plants to brighten the corners.

I found a few rod options that might work but I am not sure about the finish yet. The window trim is white so I am leaning toward a brushed nickel or matte black for contrast. Let me know if you have any suggestions based on what you have done in your place.
