We finally got the replacement printer set up last night. The old one jammed constantly so we had to upgrade. The new model connected to Wi-Fi in minutes, and test pages came out crisp. Still need to install the scanner software on the laptops, but that should be straightforward.
Hopefully this solves the printing issues for good.

Yes, we did get the fireplace inspected before lighting it this year. The chimney sweep came last Tuesday and cleaned out a surprising amount of creosote. He also noticed a small crack in the firebox that needed sealing. They used a high-temp sealant and said it's safe now. We tested it with a small fire yesterday and the draft was excellent.
I'd definitely recommend doing it yearly to avoid any hazards. If you want their contact number, just let me know.
