Hey, I finally tried that sourdough starter recipe you sent last week. It took a few days to get the bubbles going but this morning it doubled in size and smelled really tangy. I fed it again and I'm planning to bake this weekend. The whole house smells like a bakery already and I haven't even put anything in the oven yet. I'm a little nervous about the first loaf because I know the oven spring can be tricky but I watched a few videos and I think I understand the scoring technique now. My kitchen counter is covered in flour and I have jars everywhere but it's kind of fun. I might try adding some rosemary and sea salt to one loaf just to experiment. Let me know if you want me to save you a slice or if you want some RWuDBg9GNx5y8j starter to try your own. I can leave some in a jar on your porch if you're around this weekend.

I finally got around to repotting that monstera you gave me last spring. The roots were starting to come out of the drainage holes and it was looking a little sad in the corner of my living room. I moved it up to a bigger ceramic pot with fresh soil and a moss pole for support. I was nervous about shocking it but within a few days it already perked up and a new leaf is starting to unfurl. I moved it closer to the east window so it gets brighter indirect light. I also trimmed a few of the older leaves that were yellowing. The whole plant looks so much happier now and it fills the corner perfectly. I think it might even push out a few more leaves before the season changes. Let me know if you want me to propagate a cutting for you.
