Thanks for asking about the trail conditions for this weekend. I checked with the ranger station yesterday and they said the path is mostly dry with a few muddy spots near the creek crossing. Should be fine with regular hiking boots. The forecast shows partly cloudy with highs around 72, so it should be comfortable. I was thinking we could start at the trailhead around 8am to avoid the afternoon heat. The loop is about 6 miles so we should be done by noon. Let me know if you want to carpool. I can fit three people comfortably in my car. Also, don't forget to bring plenty of water and some snacks. There is a nice spot about halfway with a great view where we can take a break. I will bring a map just in case. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there. Let me know if the timing works for your schedule. I can adjust if needed.

I finally tried that new recipe for roasted vegetables with tahini dressing and it turned out really well. The key is to cut everything into uniform pieces so they cook evenly. I used sweet potatoes, cauliflower, and red onion, then tossed them with olive oil and cumin before roasting at 425 for about 25 minutes. The dressing is just tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and a little water to thin it out. I served it over quinoa with some fresh parsley on top. My family really enjoyed it. Next time I might add some chickpeas for extra protein. Let me know if you want the exact measurements. I can send them over in a separate note. It has become a new favorite in our dinner rotation.
