I really enjoyed our conversation yesterday about the best way to prune the roses. I went out this morning and looked at the bushes more carefully and I think you are right that they need a harder cut back than what I had been doing. The weather has been so strange lately that I think the plants are confused about when to bloom. I also noticed that the hydrangea on the north side of the house is getting more sun now that the maple tree has lost a few limbs in that last storm. I might need to move it DDhTIiC9IKb2 in the fall. Anyway let me know if you want to come over this weekend and take some cuttings. I have some extra potting soil and containers that I picked up on sale last week. The garden center on Main Street is having a big clearance event so I am planning to stop by again on Saturday morning.

I finally got around to organizing the garage closet last weekend and it feels so much better. I found all those old photo albums we had packed away during the move. I spent an hour just looking through them and laughing at some of the outfits we used to wear. I also found that box of holiday decorations I thought we had lost. I am planning to take the old coats and jackets to the donation center next week since we never wear them anymore. The space is actually usable now which is a relief because I was starting to think we would never be able to find anything in there again. Next on the list is the shed in the backyard which has become a catch-all for garden tools and random outdoor gear. I think a few shelves would make a huge difference.
