I think we should go with the raised beds for the tomatoes and peppers since the soil drainage has been inconsistent in that area. The herbs can go along the southern fence where they will get full sun most of the day. We need to coordinate with parks department about the water access point they mentioned last week. I can bring the soil amendment mix on Saturday morning if that works for everyone. The compost should be ready by then and the seedlings are looking strong.

The signup sheet for the main dishes is filling up nicely but we still need more side dishes and desserts. I was thinking we could use the picnic tables near the playground since they have shade covers. If everyone brings their own plates and utensils that would cut down on cleanup time significantly. Let me know if you can help with setting up the beverage station. We should probably have the event start around 4pm to avoid the hottest part of the day. I will bring a large cooler for drinks.
