I saw your note about the community garden planning session. The raised beds along the south side should work well for the tomatoes and peppers you mentioned. I checked the soil composition last weekend and it has good drainage. We still need to decide on the irrigation layout before we start planting. Thanks for the feedback on the porch railing design. I think the cedar option would hold up better in our climate than the pressure-treated pine. I measured the span again and we need 14 feet of railing total. The corner posts should be set at least 24 inches deep with concrete. Let me know if you want to adjust the spacing between the balusters. I can pick up the materials Saturday morning if that works for you.
