Really appreciate you asking about the garden layout. I've been sketching out a plan for the raised beds and I think we should go with a 4x8 foot design for the main vegetables. The soil mix I'm using is one part compost, one part peat moss, and one part vermiculite. That should give good drainage and nutrition. For tomatoes we need at least 2 feet spacing between plants. Also I picked up some marigold seeds to plant around the border as natural pest control. The drip irrigation system I'm putting in will be on a timer so we don't have to worry about watering every day. Let me know if you want to come over this weekend and help set it up. I could use a hand with the deer fencing. The stakes are 6 feet tall but I'm thinking of adding a second row because the deer around here are persistent.

One thing I learned last year is to avoid planting too early. The last frost date in our area is around May 15. So I'll start seeds indoors about 6 weeks before that. I have a heated mat for germination. Peppers need warmer soil than tomatoes. Anyway, it's going to be a good season. Thanks for the advice on the cucumber trellis idea.

Thanks for the update on the office reorganization plan. I reviewed the new seating arrangement and the proposed schedule for the soft rollout next month. One thing I wanted to mention is the conference room booking system. It still uses the old calendar format and there have been double bookings recently. Maybe we can switch to the shared spreadsheet until IT updates the platform. Also regarding the quarterly meeting on the 15th, I think having it in the larger room would work better because there are about 35 people attending. I can reserve it if you need me to. Let me know if you want me to coordinate with the caterers for that morning. I already spoke with them last week and they said they can do a buffet setup for around $15 per person if we keep it simple. That would include coffee, pastries, and fruit. The vegetarian option is the same price. Also for the evening team event, I'm leaning toward the bowling alley downtown because it's easy to get to and they have group rates. I'll email the organizer today to check availability for the 16th. Let me know what's decided.
