I finally finished that book you recommended and I have to say it was really good. The writing style took me a few chapters to get used to but once I did I could not put it down. The way the author developed the main character was impressive, especially towards the middle of the story when things started to get more complex. I also really enjoyed the setting, it felt so vivid and immersive. I can see why you thought I would like it. It reminded me a bit of that other novel we read last year, the one with the coastal town setting. I have already started looking for other books by the same author. Let me know if you have read any of their other work and if you would recommend something specific. I am also open to any other suggestions you might have.
