We just got back from a weekend camping trip at Silver Lake. The weather was surprisingly good for this time of year. We went hiking around the lake and saw a family of deer. The campsite was well-maintained and had great facilities. I think we'll definitely book the same spot again next year. We cooked some great meals over the campfire and just unplugged for a couple of days. It was refreshing to not look at a screen for a while. The stars were incredible at night. I highly recommend taking a trip out there if you get the chance. It is about a two-hour drive from the city, but the scenery along the way is beautiful too. We are already planning our next outing.
