I tried that sourdough recipe you sent me last week. It was a lot more involved than I expected, but the result was actually pretty good. The crust came out nice and crispy, and the inside was soft with a good chew. I think I over-proofed it slightly because it was a bit denser than yours, but it still tasted amazing. I brought some into the office and my coworkers finished it before lunch. I'm going to try again this weekend and maybe experiment with adding some rosemary and sea salt on top. I can see why you got so into baking during the colder months. There is something really satisfying about the whole process, from mixing the dough to watching it rise in the oven. Let me know if you have any tips for getting a more open crumb structure. I definitely need to work on my scoring technique too.

I finally repotted my monstera over the weekend. It was getting seriously root-bound and the leaves were starting to droop no matter how much I watered it. I moved it up to a bigger pot with some fresh soil mix and gave it a good soak. It already looks perkier today. I also picked up a small fern from the local nursery because it was on sale and I couldn't resist. I'm trying to build up more humidity in that corner of the living room because I know ferns can be a bit dramatic. Do you use a humidifier for yours or do you just mist them regularly? I'm hoping this little guy doesn't immediately crisp up on me. I feel like I'm finally getting the hang of keeping plants alive consistently. It's been a rewarding learning process and I look forward to expanding my collection.
